Getting to Cairns


Cairns’s international and domestic airports are located around a 15 minute drive from Cairns CBD. There are two terminals at the Cairns airport; International (T1) and Domestic (T2). The terminals are connected by a covered walkway. There are a range of direct flights and low cost flares available so we encourage you to explore all the options available.

Airport transfers

Airport Connect 

Translink offer services to Cairns City or the Northern Beaches from Sheridan Street for a minimum cost of $2.20 for an adult single fare. Click here for timetables.

Shuttle bus

Sun Palm Transport Group operates the only accredited airport shuttle


Each terminal has its own sheltered taxi rank at the front of each terminal building, simply follow the signage in the terminal.

Ride share  

Cairns Airport now has dedicated ride-booking pick up zones at both T1 (International) and T2 (Domestic). Look for signs indicating ride-booking outside the terminals.

T1 (International) zone – eastern end of terminal, just to the right of bus pick-up area.
T2 (Domestic) zone – northern end of public pick-up lane.

Certificate of attendance

Each delegate who attended the Congress will receive a certificate of attendance via email once the Congress has concluded. The certificate will contain confirmation of attendance to those who have attended the RANZCP 2019 Congress. These credits will not be certified by a national or regional CME accrediting agency. Accompanying persons of the Congress will not be awarded a certificate.


Delegates are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance. Delegate registration fees do not provide any insurance coverage. The Organising Committee and the Congress Office accept no responsibility for any loss in this regard.


The official language of the Congress is English.
