Wellness Activities

The Congress is pleased to offer the opportunity for delegates to take some time for themselves and their well-being within the Congress schedule. The 2019 program will feature sailing, walking tours, yoga and a golf day. You can register for the below activities via the online registration form.

Morning Sailing Charter

Dates: Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 May
Departure time: Boarding commences at 0600 for a strict 0630 departure
Departure point: Marlin Wharf, Reef Fleet Terminal, The Esplanade
Return time: Charters will return to Marlin Wharf at 0730
Cost: $45 per person inc GST

Take advantage of the beautiful warm tropics and wake up on a sailing charter on board the Spirit of Cairns Catamaran.

Why not take the time once the Congress is over to explore one of the many breathtaking islands just off the coast of Cairns? Visit the Tropical North Queensland tourism site for information on kayaking and sailing activities or details on their many island sailing charters.


Guided Walking Tours

Dates: Monday 13, Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 May
Departure time: 0630-0730
Meeting point: Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal, Corner Wharf and Lake Streets, Cairns
Return time: Tours will return to the Cruise Liner Terminal at 0730
Cost: $15 per person

Experience a walking tour of Cairns guided by the city’s Museum guides. The tour will focus on the history, build heritage and environment of Cairns.

Times: 0630-0730
Location: Sister Cities Parkland, The Esplanade
Cost: $10 per person inc GST

Set up your day right and join us for some mindfulness in the form of yoga on The Esplanade.


Golf Day

The 2019 Golf Day will be held on Thursday 16 May at Paradise Palms Golf Course. Limited places are available so we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.

Course: Paradise Palms Golf Course
Date: Thursday 16 May
Departure time: 1100 departure from Cairns Convention Centre
Return time: Players will arrive back at Cairns Convention Centre by 1900
Schedule: Lunch on arrival, with first tee time commencing at 1300
Cost: $150 per person
Inclusions: Green fees, 3 golf balls & wooden tees, golf carts, return transport between Cairns Convention Centre and golf course, lunch and refreshments
Additional options: A premium set of clubs can be hired from the golf course for $60 per set.
Please advise if you would like to hire a set of clubs from the course and indicate if they should be men’s or ladies’ & left or right handed.
